I work with some great people and I like what I do.
2. What do you do?
As Systems Director I get involved in managing the delivery of the systems which will serve our current and future requirements and also improving what we use now. This involves a lot of discussion, planning and meetings!
As a long standing employee who has been involved in all sorts of areas within the company I have interaction with a lot of
departments and get involved in a lot of ‘sorting out stuff’ such as making sure that staff can get on
with their jobs by removing bottlenecks and giving advice and reassurance. I also do a lot of ‘one off’ jobs required by the business, much of which involves sourcing, collating and presenting data not immediately available.

• December 1992 - Word Processor Operator (Number 12 on the payroll!)

• IT Manager – did HNC Computing course
• Systems Manager
• Systems Director
4. How far can you go?
Let’s face it; it’s metaphorically a rags to riches story, any more would just be greedy!
However I am thrilled with the opportunities I’ve been given at Spencer and will continue with my personal development to make sure that I continue to grow with the company.
